Things you can do with a Windows Media Video File
(.wmv format)
Although you normally would not use this file on your web
site (it would be too slow), it is excellent for almost every
other purpose. (The other format we gave you is only good for
online use).
Here's what you can do with this
file:
- You can view it on your computer.
- You can burn it onto a CD Rom to give to potential
clients
- You can embed it into one slide in a PowerPoint
presentation so that it will begin playing when you get to
that slide.
In PowerPoint, Click INSERT > MOVIES AND SOUNDS >
MOVIE FROM FILE.
In addition, some file sharing sites want you to up this
format of video so they can convert it to a more
internet-friendly format themselves.
FOR MACINTOSH USERS:
Some Macs cannot play a Windows Media File until you
download the free software from Microsoft. You can download it
