1. What is a VideByte™?

A VideByte™ is a 1-2 minute video-sound byte featuring you and your business online. We work with you to make your Vide-Byte™ a powerful and effective tool to promote your business online.

2. Why do I need a VideByte™?

Have you noticed that all the most successful businesses are now using video on their web sites to market themselves? They are doing it because it works! Web sites with effective videos are much more powerful in getting the message across and closing the sale than the old-fashioned web sites without videos.

Most people would rather watch than read. Why do you think that most people don’t read books, but everybody watches TV? When you are featured on your VideByte™, people will not only hear your message, but they will also see and get to know who they are doing business with.

You can also use your VideByte™ to drive traffic to your web site. Post it on YouTube and other sites for free. Provide a way for people to click from there to your web site.

3. How do I get the VideByte™ on my web site?

We will provide your VideByte™ in flash video format specially designed for web sites. Your webmaster will be able to install it in 5-10 minutes. Your VideByte will start quickly and play smoothly on almost all Internet connections. It will also work well on YouTube and other free video hosting sites..

4. What is the difference between VideBytes™ and other video services?

Most video production services will charge you $1,000 to $2.000 or more to do a short video. You can Google them and look at their prices. And those prices do not include a consultant to help you write your advertising script. With VideBytes™ you get full service for only $289 – including help with your advertising script.

Also, many video services will own the copyright for your video. That means you are under contract with them concerning reuse of your video. If you want to use your video on other web sites or in other ads, you have to pay them a fee – even if they don’t do any extra work – because they own the copyright to your video.

5. I have a camera. Is there any reason I shouldn’t do it myself?

Your web site is your only chance to make a first impression on the thousands of potential customers who could be viewing it. How good do you want that first impression to be? Do you want your prospects to feel that you are a competent caring professional? Or do you want to look like an amateur?

6. What if I want my VideByte to be longer than 2 minutes?

First, we don’t recommend it in most cases. The attention span of web surfers is very short. Most people won’t watch your ad for more than 2 minutes unless they feel a compelling reason to do so.

If you want to do a product demo or “how-to” video, you can generally get away with 6-7 minutes. If you need more than 6-7 minutes, we recommend breaking it up into separate 6-7 minute videos. We can do that by special quote.

7. Who writes the script I will use?

We will provide you a guide for developing a script. Just follow our guidelines and give us a few bullet points about you and your business. We’ll help you tweak it to make it work for you.

Just think – what if you met a prospective customer in an elevator, and you had 30-90 seconds to get them to like you and to take the next step toward doing business with you? What would you tell them? That’s what you should say on your VideByte™.

8. How much time am I allowed in the studio to produce the video for my site?

We are initially setting up 2-hour blocks of time per appointment. Most people can finish in less than 2 hours.

If you take more than 2 hours, you will be charged $25 per 15 minutes, in 15-minute increments. Your 2-hour allotment begins at the time of your appointment, so if you are late, you will lose that time.

9. What if I can’t make the appointment as planned?

If you give us 24 hours advance notice, we can reschedule without charge. Otherwise you will be charged $25 for a missed appointment.

10. I can’t say everything I want to say in 1-2 minutes.

You’re not supposed to say everything. Just say the most important thing that will get people to want to do business with you. We’ll help you to say it well.

11. I don’t feel comfortable sitting in front of a camera. Can I have somebody else appear for me in my VideByte™?

Absolutely. In most cases, the business owner or manager is the best person for the job. We will coach you and help you make it so you will look good.

12. Do I need to memorize the script I will use, or can I speak “off-the-cuff?”

No. We will put your script into a teleprompter – just like newscasters and politicians use. The teleprompter will be next to the camera, so it will appear as if you are looking into the camera when you are reading your script.

We do not recommend you speaking “off-the-cuff” unless you are a professional speaker or actor who is used to giving effective impromptu performances.

13. Can I provide a picture to use as a background?

Of course. We do that all the time. If you have a good quality digital picture in landscape mode (horizontal, not vertical), email it to us for evaluation.

We also have many stock pictures you can use at no charge. We own the copyrights on our stock pictures, and we have already paid for the legal right to use the others in our library.

We can also use a solid color background. We can use any color. We can even match it exactly to one of the colors on your web site.

You may not use any copyrighted pictures unless you have been given the right to use them. We will not knowingly use a copyrighted picture unless you furnish written evidence that you have the legal right to use it. You will assume all legal liability for the use of a copyrighted picture.

14. Do you do wedding videos or videos for TV?

No. We are specialists, not general practitioners. We are experts at advertising, web advertising and web videos. We can do a better job for a better price on the web because we stick to what we know best, and we don’t try to do everything else.

15. Do you guarantee your work?

We guarantee the finished product to work well on any standardized web site on a normal server (over 99% of all business web sites).
